About Us

We are Hayden and Sierra and we created the Instagram page Guided by Adventure, based on our love for adventure and travel. We decided to start documenting our off-road journey in Sierra’s 4th Gen v8 4runner. Our journey started in September 2021 after Sierra bought the 4runner and has continued since! The page, Guided by Adventure, has since expanded into a travel page to continue on all the exciting journeys we go on!

About Sierra

Sierra is 24 years old and has a Masters in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Pepperdine Graziadio’s school of business. For a living, she works as a manager for a short-term vacation rental company in California. Sierra has loved to travel since she was a young girl and couldn’t stop! Traveling expanded into her love for content creation, aiming to inspire people’s love for travel and adventure.

About Hayden

Hayden is 25 years old. He is a self-taught photographer and videographer and works as a contractor for the navy and is a student at La Verne University perusing his Bachelor’s in Business Administration. He has always been well-versed in outdoor skills and loves travel, adventure, fishing, hunting, and much more! Hayden loves sharing unforgettable travel memories through photography and videos.

Always Exploring

We are always trying to find some sort of adventure! Whether it’s backpacking, hiking, camping, surfing, snowboarding, overlanding, off-roading, or an international trip, we always find the best adventures.

Our Relationship

We started dating in July of 2019! Our first trip was shortly after. We fell in love with each other and along with that fell in love with traveling. In April of 2024 on our Europe road trip, Hayden proposed in the most gorgeous location in the Dolomites, Italy!

Our First Trip Together

While Hayden was deployed in 2019, Sierra went to go visit him in Japan. This was our first trip together that sparked our love for traveling. We got to learn so much about Japanese culture, experience so many different things, and explore Tokyo, Gotemba, and a few smaller mountain towns. We also experienced a spa where we got to bathe in coffee, wine, rose petals, and green tea! We also visited Tokyo Disneyland and went to a drive-through zoo where we were able to feed LIONS and pet kangaroos! Such a fun trip.
